OK, I am not sure if this would be the best place to put this question but here you go anyway.
I am the net admin of a network consisting of 60 clients, and 2 servers. 1 PDC and one Proxy/BDC, using multilinked phone lines for internet access. Ihave been informed that our company is upgrading our phone system, and will be getting a T1 line run and that they would like for the internet access to use part of that line once it is run. I have been put in charge of getting estimates, and supporting this once it is in.
I know pretty much nothing about T1 access, DSU’s and such. We use 3 24 port hubs, and I haven’t had to use switches or routers before. I know their function but have not had to implement them before.
I have a strategy meeting to be in next week to give information on this topic to the big wigs, and I no nothing yet. So my question to you all, is where would be the best place to get basic information on how to do this, what hardware is required, and cost of said hardware.
