From 2000 to 2003 AD…..HELP

I’m about to bring a new server 2003 into my 2000 domain, I will be retiring both 2000 AD servers (Replicating servers – PDCs)) after the upgrade.
I know about the migration tool from Microsoft but I need to know about any known issues that anyone has encounter, is there any order of steps I should follow, I’m doing as much research as i can before the jump. Thanks
