We use GroupWise 5.5 in a large (>10,000)company. It is becoming increasingly obvious that we need to offer a remote access option as well as flexibility in the email clients our users use.
We have therefore decided to add POP3 and IMAP services to our email system. Novell offers 2 solutions: NIMS and turning on the POP3 and IMAP switches within Groupwise 5.5.
My question is – Are there any known problems regarding stability and useability with the POP3 and IMAP services offered byGroupwise 5.5. To me this looks like an attractive option, but then NIMS also provides the email accessibilty we require, although it does not offer all of the functionality of Groupwise 5.5.
Has anyone had problems with running the POP3 and IMAPservices, has anyone got advice about these issues? All input is welcome.
