guest account changes desktop

by northwood . Updated 20 years, 9 months ago

In windows 2000, a guest user can not make any permanent changes to their desktop. Meaning, if a guest user creates a folder and then logs off, the folder will not be there when you log back on as a guest.

However, in windows XP, a guest can log on and create a folder and then log off. When the guest logs back on, the folder is still there. Is this a error in XP, as a guest is not suppose to be able to make permanent changes to their desktop?
