I am having a problem with Outlook 97, 98 and 2000. When any one dials in or uses VPN trying to open Outlook it seems to time out.
When I do a check name it finds the name right away. When I start to open Outlook it will ask me for my log on ID and Password. Then I get an error that says, “Your Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable.” Then I do a retry; I get another error that says “Unable to open your default e-mail folders. The Information Store could not be opened.” The RAS and VPN are on different servers.
The RAS is using DHCP and the VPN has Static IP’s. We recently created a new PDC. Took out one of the DNS’s added a BDC, moved WINS and DHCP to a newly created server. That is when we started to have this problem.
