help!

i was un-installing a bunch of files on my co-workers computer because he was running “bearshare” for a long time and he had a lot of spyware programs, when i uninstalled something called slot something everything was erased and at the prompt menu when rebooting i was asked to enter the windows product key number so we entered it. And then after i received another prompt saying explorer has performed an illegal operation, are all the programs gone????
