HEXI-DECIMAL PROGRAMS

I’m having trouble with a program that uses Hexi-decimal language and i need to learn about this subject… Is there anywhere on the net where i can learn how to use this side of programming?
I’ve been trained in COBOL so i dont think Hexi will be a problem for me to understand.
Any assistance would be gratefully received.
