Have a server that runs Exchange 5.5 SP2.
This is showing very high memory usage on STORE.EXE (approx 870MB with 1Gb Total Physical Memory). Cant work out why the Information Store is using so much memory. It obviously appears as though there is a memory leak somewhere. The server hosts no mailboxes at all and is just used for Public Folders (6,000+). Can’t upgrade to SP3 yet cause we’ve found the same memory leak in SP3 which is fixed by hotfix Q241516. Is there anyway of finding out more specificly why the STORE.EXE is using so much memory. Task manager shows >5% total processor utilisation overall. Anyone come accross this fault before ? Rebooting before anyone asks doesn’t fix the fault. I still need to check the event logs to see if there’s anything in there.
