Home network fibre-optic?

I have an old house which use to be an office.
In the basement there is what appears to be an old fibre-optic connection from BT which has 4 pieces of info on it; Customer, System, Cable, Fibre.
Inside it details the type as FIST-BT-DCCT-CA/PT-01 (Lot:200205902496-61)
I have no idea if this can be used for fibre connection to the home, and nor can I seem to get any contact details from BT to ask them that question!
Any thoughts on how i can find out this info would be very useful.
