How do I fix an issue with restoring emails from Outlook Junk mail folder?

My wife’s PC is XP Pro SP3, Office 2003. She’s having an issue with moving emails from the Junk mail folder to the Inbox. When she drags them over or uses the “Not Spam” button. The emails just disappear. I’ve checked all the folders that are showing and the emails aren’t there. Maybe I’m just having a senior moment but I just can’t figure it out.
