How do I import emails from access database into Outlook?

Hi. I’ve stored my old email messages in an access database (mdb). Now I want to transfer those messages with attachments to Outlook or another email program so I can browse and search my messages with ease. There is an option in Outlook to import messages from an access database, but it’s impossible to map the date field from my database to the appropriate Outlook field. Help me please, it’s driving me nuts.
