How do I maintain investment tracking with Quicken Essentials for Mac?

by rg_lucas . Updated 14 years, 10 months ago

Can downloading Apple’s Rosetta onto Lion (Mac OS X 10.7) permit Quicken for Mac to track investment transactions as it presently does for Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6.8)? If so, how do I get it?
My present Quicken for Mac 2007 was originally designed for the older Power PC architecture and was able to run on the newer Intel-based Macs using Apple’s Rosetta. It is reported that Apple will discontinue support for Rosetta with the upcoming Mac OS X 10.7 release.
Quicken’s latest update Quicken Essentials for Mac no longer tracks investment transactions. My Quicken for Mac 2007 reportedly will not work on Mac OS X 10.7.
At this point, I am forced to not upgrade to Mac OS X 10.7 in order to maintain investment tracking.
Do I have any options? Other software packages?
