How do I make pictures visible when copy/paste from Outlook to Word?

When I copy and paste the full contents of a Outlook(2003) message(body) to Word, any picture that might be selected in the process, is then not visible in Word. The text is fine but for the pictures, only a square is to be seen. Paste Special also has no other option to get to the expected result. Would appreciate some assistance. Thank you
