How do I optimize the pagefile?

Ey, guys

I read in an article by Microsoft that having multiple pagefiles on one drive may negatively affect the performance. Now picture the following:
There is 1 PC containing 3 HDDs: the primary master containing windows XP, a primary slave that’s empty and a secundary master that’s also empty. Would it be beneficial to place a pagefile, that doesn’t resize (min and max size the same) on both volumes? And what size should they be? 4096 mb or 1.5 times the amount of RAM?
