How do i print first page of multipage doc IE9?

Windows 7/IE9 when printing multipage web doc, the first page contains the title lines of the article, but the rest of the first page is blank except for the footer showing url address/date. Subsequent pages print OK. I have
“software rendering” checked in internet options/advanced/accelerated graphics menu.
