How do you establish connectio pooling.

in a previous question about active connections the reply stated that connection pooling could ease server load. how is this achieved and where could i find more information ?
i currently develop my ASP in VBscript for an NT server running IIS4 andanother running SQL server.
i would be very grateful if anyone could help.
