How do you lower the CPU temperature of a laptop?

Have a Toshiba Satellite M305 laptop running Vista. According to utility software, the CPU is consistently running at 80 C.

No expert, but that seems exceedingly hot. Have cleaned the fan from outside, but wonder if I need to take it apart to attempt to clean the inside, or if this is “normal.” Any suggestions would be appreciated.
