“How the *&%^ do I…” question…

by jbafile . Updated 18 years, 7 months ago

Okay, so here is what I am trying to do…

I am trying to figure out how I can make any users that connect to our free wireless internet be directed to a homepage that we set instead of their homepage set within their browser…

For instance, I have https://www.techrepublic.com set as my default webpage. What I want to do is say I connect wirelessly at a hotspot, even though I have techrepublic.com as my default homepage, I want to over ride that setting within Internet Explorer/Firefox and send the user to another web site…

I know this is possible, I’ve been to locations that have this feature.

I know its going to be if the wireless router supports this type of feature, etc…

I just want to know what its called so I can do some research to see what type of router can do this, how much more in price they are, etc.

Thanks in advance!
