How to change webpages from saving into mhtml and instead of html?

Internet Explorer recently had a problem and when I restarted Internet Explorer it changed all my saved webpages on my desktop to the mhtml type with a picture frame instead of the internet explorer 7 logo.
How do I make it change back and also when I save a webpage to my desktop it defaults to html not mhtml?
