How to get Word to print text in portrait and landscape Excel spreadsheet?

Let’s say I wanted to insert an Excel spreadsheet with many columns into a Word document, and in order to accomodate all of the columns I wanted the Excel spreadsheet to be printed in landscape, but I want the rest of the document (the text, basically) to stay in portrait mode. How would you do it?

For example, I may want to use this if I were including financial information as the appendix to a business plan, but wanted everything to remain in the same document.
