HTML editor recommendations please?

Hi guys,

Could any of you please recommend a good alternative to Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004? In my opinion, it is one of the best site editors around but way too pricey. It comes in at just under $700 here in Australia.

I know there are many editors out there but which ones are in the same league and which are *reasonably* priced?

Any recommendations would be appreciated.
