Hyperkin Scout USB for PC/Mac not working

So I just bought a Hyperkin Scout for my PC and no matter what I do it won’t work. I plug it in, and my computer does register that it’s plugged in, on the devices part of the settings menu it appears as “usb controller”, but other than that I simply cannot get it to do anything. I can’t find any resources about this online no matter where I look and I’m not even sure if this is the right place to be asking. If anyone at all can help it would be greatly appreciated.
