IE 8 & 7 won’t show images red x

IE 7&8 will not show images just a red x. Here’s what I tried so far :
Checked the Show Images option
Allowed Active X
Upgraded from 7 to 8
Checked the registry keys for the proper tags

Firefox works fine but not IE
