ie and firefox completely stop working

can some one please help me. my firefox browser and internet explorer browser has stopped working completely and i don’t know what to do. i have gone online and downloaded ad-ware and anti-spyware like “hijack this” and nothing worked. i have went into safe mode and turn off system restore nothing worked the only browser i have working is netscape”. please help me! u will have my gratitude
