IIS4 & Non-Microsoft HTML editor sharing

I currently use dreamweaver 3.0 to create/edit websites in NT service pack 4 environment. Recently server was upgraded to IIS4 and I now get sharing violations when I attempt to save my html documents due to the fact that IIS4 caches file handles. Micrsoft’s solution is to switch to FrontPage, Interdev, or Notepad to create/edit html and asp docs. (As long as I don’t preview in browsers this problem does not occur.)

Is there a solution/workaround beyondstopping/restarting the site?
