Imo.im skype support

How does imo.im support skype video/audio/chat IM ? Use of Skypekit prohibits any support to mobile devices, whereas Skype API or URI requires Skype client to be installed and runnning. Also running copies of Runtime from Skypikit for each client would be illegal. So how exactly does imo.im support Skype on android, web browser and other platforms.
