Install Keys and System Imaging

I think I know the answer to this but would like confirmation…
If I install XP Professional using an MSDN or Stand Alone key on the front-side, then Ghost and Sysprep, can I then use a Volume Licensing key on the back side?
I’m thinking the answer is no.
