Installing a windows operating system on a computer having an SCSI HDD

I recently wanted to install A windows XP sp2 operating sytem on a computer have a SMALL CIMPUTER SYSTEM INTERFACE addapter and to which hard drives where connected. and did not succeed because the HDD where not vissible in the BIOS but where seen on A SCSI diagnostic sreen. when I try to istall fresh copy Of the OS , even after pressing F6 to install SCSI drivers I still get the message no HDD are found on the sysrem. Please what can be a possible solution to the problem.
