installing raid drivers with out a floppy

im setting up a adaptec 1220sa with 2 wd 500 enterprise drives on a windows xp pro, but my mobo intel dg43gt does not have a floppy controller nor do i have a USB floppy. i heard of was to convert a usb stick to act as a floppy that will work with the bios and with the installation of xp to press F6 to load third party drivers?
