Installing Windows 7 Games on Windows 10 machines

I installed the windows 7 games on my Windows 10 machine. My friends want to do the same. Am I breaking any intellectual laws or other copy right laws if I do that or are they considered public domain? I figured since my machine is upgraded from windows 7 that I already paid for it.
