Internal hard drive error

Recently on yesterday I bought Dell Latitude D610 laptop without hard drive and also I install a 60Gb IDE Hard drive and tried to setup windows 7 as I have Original disk for it but Dell Latitude D610 having Original system with Windows XP
Now it showing Internal hard drive error and hard drive not detected so what help can help me in this case
