Internet access with & without a proxy?

Hello, I need a solution for a business laptop that is configured to access business applications, intranet & the internet via a proxy after logging onto a domain, but the user wants to use the laptop at home to access the internet & webmail. The problem is at home they can’t access the internet on their personal wireless connection because it is configured to go through a proxy. I would think it’s possible to use a laptop at work & home? I thought maybe listing their isp information in the exception part of the advanced section of the LAN settings would be a place to start? The user wouldn’t have admin rights. The laptop uses WinXP sp2 with IE v6.
