Internet Explorer connects in Safe Mode

My messenger services all work, but my Internet Explorer will not connect in normal mode. An hour earlier it worked perfectly. Walked away and it wouldnt work. Any ideas of what I can do? Laptop is set up on wireless network other two computers work fine.
