I have a strange problem, I think I’ve seen something similar in the forum but I could not find the thread.
System:
Windows XP Pro
Problem:
The computer seems to be connected to the internet. Outlook and Trilian is working but Chrome, Firefox and IE is not.
If the computer is rebooted the web browsers will work for about an hour.
What I have tried:
I scan the system with Spybot and McAfee.
I can not do a system restore, every time I try to it comes back as “Error: Restore incomplete”. I also tried the previous steps in safe more.
What has changed in the system:
After talking to the owner of the laptop, I found out that he was installing ArcGIS but the installation came out wrong, and he tried to repair or clean the .dll with CCleaner.
The system seems to be working now but I would like to know if someone had seen a similar problem in this forum. It could help me.
