Internet using Proxy and DialUp

by jaybrdie . Updated 25 years, 9 months ago

We are currently running W2k Server at five locations. I am trying to configure the laptops to be able to use the Office network for connecting to the Internet through Proxy Server 2.0. The only problem I am having is that when they want to connect to the internet at home they have to go into the Control Panel, Uncheck the WSP Client, Reboot and then run the setup wizard again to use their existing Dial-up accounts. Most of the laptop users are running Win98 and some are running W2k Pro. I’ve found that checking the “connect when a network connection is not found” does not work. Does anyone have any ideas on how to set up the laptop users so hey don’t have to reconfigure the WSP Client whenever they switch from the network to dial-up and vice-versa?
