Is it possible?

I just received a newer PC as a gift for christmas that came with XP home but I don’t like the OS. is it possible to create a new disc of my OEM version of ME and use that? if so witch files should I copy? This ME version is the most stable version that I have seen. (hard to belive ME is stable) I contacted the vendor but they said that since I purchased the system second hand that I am not eligible for assistance. (stingy buggers) I haven’t tried to install from the disc since It is an E-machine OS and am not sure if it is machine spacific.
