Is it possible to customize the look of columns in Sharepoint 2007?

I have a Sharepoint 2007 site I created strictly for Issue Tracking purposes. It’s a very simple site with one List. I have setup the List for the forms to have specific columns, some built in columns, some i added. Is there a way to further customize the look and layout of the indivdual columns? For example, one of my columns gives the user a choice in the form on radio buttons, however the description of the column is underneath the choices. I would like the description to be above the choices. In this same example, there are 2 radio buttons with this column, and one is above the other. My boss would like them to be next to each other (left to right). Is this possible? I was hoping to be able to do this in Sharepoint Desginer but it doesn’t appear that I can. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
