Is there a way to immediatly display a picture on mac that you just snapped

I have iPhone Xs and Macbook Air Catalina connected with Lightning to USB-C cable. I am trying to capture the most perfect portrait shot of myself using portrait mode on the iPhone’s camera. When I snap the pic with my Apple Watch I want the picture to immediatly show up on my Macbook Air. Could we use Automator to monitor where the iPhone stores photo files and each time there is a new one it opens it in Preview Full Screen. I don’t need the special portrait mode features to open up just like a regular copy of the photo. Continuity Camera does not work because it is not capable of capturing HDR.
