ISA Server (IP and FQDN in Dest Sets)

by mrpatol . Updated 21 years, 9 months ago

I want to be able to block access to all web sites except for a handful. This handful consists of a list of FQDN’s and another list of IP addresses.

I can’t put both lists in the same destination set without at least one failing. I’m using the following approach:

Created a “Site and Content Rule” that applies to “All destinations except the selected set.” This set, again, is a list of FQDN’s and IP addresses (e.g. www.cnn.com and 207.33.118.175).
This rule applies to any request.

Again, the problem is that sometimes my users can get to one of the sites listed in the destination set when they shouldn’t be able to. I’ve found several references to “issues” in ISA Server 2000 where you will have problems if you combine IP addresses with FQDN’s in the same Destination Set. If that’s the case, then how can I enable access to two or more destination sets?

Is ISA Server 2000 really this crippled?

Thanks
