ISM not opening

Hi guys and girls, I have a win2k advanced server, I’m going to set up an FTP site, I haven’t gone to far, when I try to open my Internet Services Manager I get the following messege, “Error conecting to server: The system cannot find the path specified… do you whish to continue to attempt to conect to it in the future?
yes NO
regardless of my answer it opens it up but I cannot do anything to it, please advice.
