iTunes song lyrics

When I add the lyrics to one song and sync it with my iPhone, the lyrics becomes messed up. For example:
First rowsecond row third rowfourth row
fifth rowsixth rowseventh row and so on. Or
First row
second row
third row
fourth ro[…..]
Can anyone help me?
