I’ve uninstalled my vga drivers …now screen goes blank when XP sp3 loads

My graphics card drivers(nvidia mx440 XPsp3) didn’t show in device manager, only default vga drivers – even after installing new drivers (I’ve installed graphics drivers in dozens of computers). In an attempt to force things along I uninstalled the vga drivers in device manager (stupid idea). Now after windows loads I get a completely blank screen (no text, no cursor – nothing).
Tried safe mode, vga mode, safe mode with cursor – nothing. How do I enable vga mode again.
