limited or no connectivity on win xp sp3

hi
im experiencing problems with a few pcs that gives limited or no connectivity messages , the cable and network point is working fine as i tested it with my laptop and works fine , try on the pc and problem still there , i changed link speeds still no luck, is it possible that it might be caused by a virus ?
