Under the network connections it says wireless network connection is enabled and running. I am using a Linksys compact wireless g-usb adapter, which also at that monitor it says it is connected to the access point and to the internet, which right now it’s connected at the highest speed i have ever seen it (24 mbps, I’m all the way upstairs, so that’s a good speed here).
But when I click onto internet explorer, it says the broadband link is currently not available. error: dsl failed to connect.
I have not changed anything on this computer, it just started saying that out of nowhere. I’ve tried repairing the connection, disabling linksys and enabling it again. i have restarted the computer, i have removed the adapter and used another usb port.
nothing works, because it says everything is connected and fine, except the internet explorer. my roomates laptop works just fine (i’m using it right now)
and i do believe my other roomate has a computer and he has no problems with his internet. So I don’t understand why it won’t connect. any advice?
