LOGOFF right after logon

I have duplicated my harddrive, onto an identical HD, using Norton Ghost’s “track-to-track copy” utility. However, upon booting my laptop from this new HD, Windows XP starts, and asks for my password.. Upon entering my password, the system tries to execute the rest off the Login process. But within 1-2 seconds, it starts to LogOff.. (The pop-up window freezes with LogOff display).

What is the solution so that I can bootup my laptop, from either of the hard drives? Thanks for any assistance in this matter.
