Mac Volume on an NT Server!

I have placed a Mac volume on one of my NT4 Servers as a service. My macs can see the server in Chooser and pick the volume. They can open it but the volume is locked.(See files but can’t put files or save back to it.)
I have logged in as administrator and given share rights to adms,everyone, domain users and network users.
Any ideas how I can unlock this folder
