MAC Volumes on NT4

Is there a limit to the amount of data that can be stored in each Volume?

The reason I ask is that the mac serviced died today, and no matter what I did I couldnt get the volume available on the network, when I made a 3rd one and moved a few gb of data into that one, I had all 3 working?

whats going on ?
