Maybe I don’t understand

I posted a question on tech q&a with no response
Then I receive an email from tech repub saying
a person has answered my question and closed
the question. I checked at tech repub and the
question is not closed nor answered. I check the
email again and it seems that it also has an
attachment?? I look the email over and find that
it had been hijacked and the wrong info given??
is that a spoof?
