Media Centre DVR-MS Files to Extenders?

I have a Media Centre PC and a large disc full of recorded films. My house has fast cabled ethernet LAN (CAT-6). I bought a Sony BDP ethernet connected player that can play files from the internet, access my PC’s disc and play music (well), photos (badly), and video (well) to other rooms – BUT it can’t see the Media Centre recorded TV (DVR-MS files). Does anyone know of an extender that can read DVR-MS files to play these files to a room remote to my PC over the LAN?
