MessageBox.Show(“agh”); not showing text

Programming with XP Pro SP2 and .Net 2003 sp1. Ever since new image was put on my laptop I have problems with message box text showing up.

Isn’t a problem with programs I write and use on other PC’s…just this laptop.

I can put a title in there and the title shows up, but the button text and message box text don’t show up.

Same problem with VB.Net and C#. Can’t figure it out. Thought maybe it was because i needed an upgrade to VS.net but no other service packs available for OS or studio.
